Tea Traders is a tea retailer and tea shop based in Carmarthen, South Wales.

Established in 2017 by partners Paul Raven & Nick Lee, the business combines a contemporary tea shop with own-brand retail and online tea sales. From day one our aim has been to break down the barriers and to excite customers to discover and enjoy great leaf tea. With over 100 quality leaf teas in our range, we offer something for everyone, from classic and traditional mainstream options, to our popular own blends, plus fine specialities and rarities.

We work closely with respected UK Tea importers such as ESTA member Fine Tea Merchants to source high quality teas from some of the world’s finest tea estates including Satemwa estate in Malawi and Tea Studio in Nilgiri, Southern India. We are also a proud supporter of Peterston Tea Estate who produce fabulous Welsh grown tea at their tea fields near Cardiff.

Providing great customer service and creating memorable tea experiences is at the heart of what we do. Carmarthen is a small market town in a beautiful area and we are lucky to have many loyal customers who travel to visit us from across South Wales, and an online customer base across the UK.

ESTA membership is a great fit for our business. As a small independent tea business in a semi-rural location, it would be easy to feel isolated and distant from the global tea community. Being an ESTA member helps to connect us to that community, whether that be through the excellent webinars programme, the CPD & networking opportunities, or the regular industry updates. Recently we signed-up to join the ESTA community on CIRCLE and we would recommend that all members take advantage of this excellent networking opportunity. It’s a fantastic new benefit of membership that is really adding value to our ESTA experience.
