TEAPY
TEAPY Ltd is a family company, born from inventor Roland Hill’s desire to improve the quality and practicality of tea service in hotels, restaurants and cafés.
First adopted by the hospitality industry in 2016, TEAPY T-4-1 is a complete tea service that can be safely carried in one hand or alternatively leaving more room on a tray for other items. It brings together three inventions – two patented and one patent-pending – in one compact and versatile solution. TEAPY sells directly to hotels, restaurants, coffee shops, catering companies and other businesses, as well as to consumers for use at home and in the office.
It is being used across a range of operations, from the cafés at Westmorland Farmshop & Co’s motorway service stations to Michelin-starred chef Aiden Byrne’s Li~ly restaurant in Knutsford.
TEAPY T-4-1 is a mug and a unique lid which holds a teaspoon, a jug for milk, lemon wedge, or other tasting accompaniment, and an optional infuser. It works equally well with loose-leaf tea or tea bags, table service, counter service or self-service. Roland is now turning his attention to improvements in teapot service.
TEAPY Ltd is a subsidiary of Contra Vision Ltd, founded in 1985 to exploit Roland’s inventions in the field of one-way vision and other see-through window graphics. Contra Vision’s technology can be seen around the world on bus wraps and retail window advertising, including campaigns for hospitality brands such as Pret, Costa, Starbucks, EAT, itsu, ibis and Travelodge. Roland’s elder son, Roger, is CEO of Contra Vision Ltd, and Roland’s great-niece, Laura Hadwin, joined TEAPY Ltd in 2025 and is now Business Development Manager.
TEAPY Ltd is proud to be a member of ESTA, demonstrating that TEAPY T-4-1 can help make the most of speciality teas, and sharing ESTA’s commitment to improving tea service internationally.
