We are Daan Theoden and Maarten van Vreeland and we founded TeaWall in 2019. 

As tea drinkers, we were both frustrated by the quality of the tea offered in many places. In particular, tea from coffee vending machines is usually prepared on the basis of instant powder. It is then dispensed from the same outlet as the coffee resulting in a poor tasting profile and user experience.

Our mission became clear: making premium, loose leaf tea accessible in offices, hospitality and to-go locations. By leveraging the knowledge of tea experts in the Europe Speciality Tea Association (ESTA), our machines can now deliver a cup that is outstanding compared to existing solutions, yet affordable and easy-to-use. 

Our machines control all parameters for the perfect cup. Water of the right mineral composition is boiled up to the right temperature depending on the type of tea leaves. The machines has an accurate dosing mechanism to dispense the right amount of leaves depending on the volume of water that our customers use. Lastly, users get a recommended steeping time through QR codes in the interface. 

While your cup is being prepared, TeaWall's dynamic interface teaches users more about tea and visually engages them with the vision of our tea blend designer, Quinteassential (https://quinteassential.co.uk/).

As from 2022, TeaWall now also offers TeaWall Basic, a compact, less expensive dosing mechanism. This product is very suitable for locations that already have a hot water source and do not have a lot of space but still want to significantly improve the tea quality for their visitors.

Both TeaWall concepts work with our unique fully compostable infusers suitable for the green waste bin. These are produced in the Netherlands to further minimizebits carbon footprint.

Our motivation to be part of ESTA is to optimize our products, expand our international network and attend cool events.
