ESTA is pleased to announce that the first National coordinator for our UK Chapter is Alex Minakov of Curious Tea. Alex says

"I would like to volunteer to act as a national coordinator for the UK Chapter of ESTA. Both myself personally and my company are passionate about bringing to consumers fine teas from origin countries. quality information on the art of tea. I believe that as part of ESTA we can deliver education, involvement and practical demonstration that look at all stages of the tea process from cultivation to consumption.

As speciality tea becomes more relevant, there is much stronger demand for creating such connections and content that enables consumers’ deeper understanding of the world of speciality tea. The UK Chapter will be well-placed to facilitate such connections within the tea lovers’ UK community. As part of this, an important role must be given to collaborative and interactive events that enable deeper and more detailed learning. Much importance must be given to facilitating the ability of growers and producers to communicate both with tea professionals but also with consumers to explain in detail their craft. Further promotion of ESTA would be achieved via creating a professional education platform. I hope that we will be able to achieve the general goals of ESTA through a strong team consisting of local members and ambassadors."
