Jörg Müller is co-founder and CEO of Solaris. Tea whose virgin tea blends created a storm all those many years ago when they were released into the unassuming world of tea connoisseurs.

Jörg stems from a family with a love for nature. His mother is a traditional herbalist from the Czech Republic. His love for wild, edible and medicinal plants has persisted ever since.

Sharing the smells, the adventure and sense of discovery of the native plants that thrive in the forests and meadows surrounding him through herb walks, classes and foraging events has been a passion ever since.

His interest in medicinal and edible plants led him to pursue a degree in Herbal Medicine BSc (Hons) more than 20 years ago and he practiced as a medical herbalist for many years.

In 2002 he co-founded Solaris Botanicals Ltd. He has been involved in every aspect of the company from its humble beginnings in a converted attic- where each tea was hand blending, hand labelled and packed; to the thriving company it is today with an international reach

His expert nose has been likened to that of a perfumer and he has a true talent for exciting new flavor sensations.

His passion lies in exploring how the energetic and chemical components of herbs benefit the human body.  He loves sharing how we can find ‘a moment of pause’ when we connect more deeply to the sensory aspect of the plant world to create a sense of calm and grounding in our daily lives.

Nowadays his role in Solaris Tea is broad, ranging from leading the talented family team, development of the companies long term strategy, blending and sourcing for our customised tea blends, sourcing the teas and he continues to be in the hot seat for company innovation and exciting new product development

Outside the office Jörg can be found nose deep in flowers, pruning his apple trees, or off on one of his many adventures hiking through woods and jumping into any wild water way that beckons to be discovered.
